LESS MOTION WITH MORE STABILIZATION MATERIAL

A waterbed moves; when you lie down, the water moves, and your body moves with it. Some find it wonderfully relaxing, akin to lying on an air mattress on the sea. Or perhaps not?

The principle of a waterbed revolves around being able to move the water within the water mattress with your body. This creates an even support of the body by the water mattress. The body is essentially carried by the water, and the pressure points of the water mattress on the body are almost the same everywhere. This optimal pressure point distribution is a basis for good sleep for many people.

The result of the movement of the water is motion. If you don't find this comfortable, you can have stabilization material placed in the waterbed to reduce the water's ability to move quickly. This slows down the motion. The more stabilization material, the less motion in the waterbed. A fully stabilized waterbed has no motion at all. You can choose how much stabilization material you want in your waterbed when purchasing it. Once the waterbed is placed in the bedroom, the amount of stabilization cannot be adjusted. However, you can still fine-tune the comfort with the amount of water in the mattress.

The stabilization material we use is a fiber material, available in 2 qualities. In our Nightline and Flexline water mattresses, we use our standard fiber quality. In our Skyline water mattress, we use a premium quality.

The Nightline and Skyline water mattress series have a predetermined amount of dimensions and stabilization forms. Some of these stabilization forms have an additional lumbar support in the mattress. The Flexline mattresses can be produced in any desired size and with any desired stabilization, and therefore have a slightly longer delivery time.

All our water mattresses are made of Mesamoll II vinyl. Mesamoll II is an environmentally friendly phthalate-free plasticizer. The vinyl complies with the NEN-EN71.3 standard, a strict European standard that children's toys also need to meet. Our water mattresses are welded shut with high-frequency welding technology. This ensures that the lifespan of the welds is guaranteed for many years. We offer a 5-year warranty on all welds of our water mattresses.

The Nightline and Flexline series have a smooth vinyl surface. Our Skyline series has stretch vinyl. By adding a stretch pattern to the surface of the vinyl, up to 10 percent extra lying surface is created when this vinyl is loaded. A reason to choose this vinyl may be because you have more body weight or because it offers a more comfortable feel.
