WATERBEDS WITH FOAM, THE LATEST DEVELOPMENT

A completely new development in waterbed stabilization is foam stabilization. Foam stabilization offers several advantages over fiber stabilization.

Many new waterbed sleepers opt for waterbeds with slightly higher stabilization. Our basic principle with waterbeds is that the body should be able to sink into the mattress to be fully and evenly supported, known as the displacement principle. Pressure points are reduced in this way, which leads to faster falling asleep and better sleeping through the night, allowing the body to recover well during the night.

Foam stabilization in waterbeds allows for combining high stabilization with the necessary ability to lie well in the mattress. Foam stabilization provides more and better options for individually adjusting the mattress. Foam stabilization retains shape and stability much longer than fiber stabilization. The comfort of the waterbed therefore remains constant for a longer period with foam-stabilized waterbeds. After emptying a foam-stabilized mattress, for example during a move, the comfort after refilling will be the same as before emptying. This is not always the case with fiber-stabilized waterbeds.

Due to all these advantages, we see a shift from fiber-stabilized waterbeds to foam-stabilized waterbeds. Wa'core offers 2 mattress lines with foam stabilization.

FOAMLINE

Our entry-level mattress with foam stabilization is the FoamLine mattress. The FoamLine mattress is a great entry model for foam-stabilized mattresses. By adjusting the height between the slats, more or less stabilization is achieved. The foam in the FoamLine mattress is a cold foam with very high tensile strength, making it highly suitable for use in water. The FoamLine mattress is available in 3 stabilization variants. The FoamLine mattress comes with a full 5-year warranty.

DREAMLINE

Our premium option in foam stabilization is stabilizing with quantum foam. This foam is used in our Dreamline mattress.

Quantum foam has a very open cell structure, allowing water to flow more easily through the foam core. This allows the body to sink into the mattress even with higher stabilization types. At the top of the foam, a specific pyramid shape is cut. These 8 centimeter high pyramids give the water mattress the typical pleasant comfort of a waterbed. For higher stabilization, a thicker foam layer is placed under the pyramids. This foam layer is available in 2 hardness levels.

In the shoulder area, the pyramids can be completely or partially cut away to create a shoulder comfort zone (SCZ). It is also possible to cut away pyramids in the hip area and replace them with a foam plate. This provides firmer comfort in the hip area (MBS-H). By leaving the pyramids intact in the hip area and placing the foam plate under the pyramids, a medium-strong hip support (MBS-L) is created.

This Quantum foam is Ökotex certified and guarantees a longer lifespan than other stabilization materials. Extensive and demanding tests with this material have shown a material deformation of up to 4 percent, even under prolonged heavy loads. With a mattress stabilized with Quantum foam, the body can lie deeper into the water mattress compared to a fiber-stabilized water mattress, without causing more motion. The Dreamline mattress comes with a full 7-year warranty.

DREAM 2

Light stabilization, foam height from top of pyramid to bottom of foam is 11 cm.

DREAM 4

Medium stabilized, foam height from the top edge of the pyramid to the bottom edge of the foam is 15 cm.

DREAM 6

Strongly stabilized, foam height from the top edge of the pyramid to the bottom edge of the foam is 18 cm.

DREAM 8

Extra strongly stabilized, foam height from the top edge of the pyramid to the bottom edge of the foam is 21 cm.

Our FoamLine and Dreamline mattresses are available in pre-determined sizes. However, as Flexline mattresses, both mattresses can be produced in any desired size.

FoamLine, Dreamline, and Flexline mattresses are manufactured in Europe. All raw materials used are sourced by us in Europe. All our water mattresses are made of Mesamoll II vinyl, an environmentally friendly phthalate-free plasticizer. The vinyl complies with the NEN-EN71.3 standard, a strict European standard that children's toys also need to meet. Our water mattresses are welded shut with high-frequency welding technology, ensuring that the lifespan of the welds is guaranteed for many years.
